Whitehill Primary School & Nursery

The Decus Educational Trust

Weekly Bulletin: Friday 20th March 2026

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,

It has been another fantastic week at Whitehill Primary, filled with celebration, collaboration and strong community spirit.

I am delighted to share the announcement of our STEAM Competition winners. We were incredibly impressed with the creativity, problem-solving and innovation demonstrated across the school. In particular, the entries from Amethyst Class were so strong that it proved impossible to select just one winner. Instead, the prize was awarded to the group in recognition of their collective effort. A number of pupils from Amethyst Class truly showed ingenuity in their designs, making thoughtful and creative use of recyclable materials. It was wonderful to see how carefully they considered the properties of each material and used these to enhance their designs. Well done to all who took part!

It was also a pleasure to welcome so many parents and carers into school this week for our Parent Consultation Meetings. It is remarkable how quickly the year is progressing, and these opportunities to come together are always incredibly valuable. Sharing progress, celebrating successes and discussing next steps ensures that we continue to work in partnership to support every child to do their very best.

Thank you as well to all those who took the time to complete the parent survey. Your feedback is extremely important to us and will help to inform our next steps as a school, particularly in identifying areas where we can continue to improve. We truly value your views and appreciate your ongoing support.

We were also fortunate to be able to hold our Book Fair outside in the glorious sunshine this year, which created a lovely atmosphere for families to browse and enjoy together. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the school by purchasing books. As always, 25% of the proceeds will be returned to the school and used to purchase additional reading materials for our children—helping to further nurture a love of reading across the school.

Thank you also to all members of our community who have chosen to support and celebrate Comic Relief this year. Your generosity and kindness are greatly appreciated and reflect the caring values we are so proud of at Whitehill.

Finally, I would like to extend warm wishes to all of our families who are celebrating Eid at this time. Eid Mubarak to you all—we hope you enjoy a joyful and special celebration with your loved ones.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support in helping to make Whitehill such a strong and vibrant community.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Best wishes,

Angela Carpenter
