Weekly Bulletin: Friday 18th July 2025
Dear Parents, Carers & Families,
Wow, what an exciting and momentous week it has been. Year 6 has brought drama, song and pazazz to the school with their wonderful end of year production. Every student’s talents shone through with stunning singing, confident acting, and the creation of some superb scenery and props. Thank you and well done to our year 6 pupils you have once again made us very proud! Thank you also to our year 6 team for supporting our students with this endeavour!
Year 6 - End of Year Production
This week we learnt that one of our year 5 students, Anabelle, completed a 10 kilometre run at Brands Hatch. This was done to raise money in memory of a family friend who sadly passed away from cancer. She raised an amazing £560 and was so proud to complete her first 10 kilometre run. Well done Anabelle, this is quite an achievement. We are so very proud of you too!
Week on week, we will continue to share the learning experiences of other year groups.
Some of our long standing parents will fondly remember Mrs Gail Price. In addition to being a much loved wife, mother and grandmother, she was an active member of the PTA, a huge advocate of the school and fabulous fun when she came in to support our children with arts, crafts and gardening. Recently, the family joined us to remember Gail and celebrate her life. A hypericum was planted in the school grounds in honour of her. Gail was a very special person. The ceremony was even more poignant with it being Mr and Mrs Price’s wedding anniversary. Much love to the family!
In Memory of Gail Price
We are in the process of reviewing the school’s policies regarding Primary aged students’ mobile phone use. We are looking to seek your thoughts. Please click HERE and share your views.
Have a great weekend,

Attendance
The foundations of learning are laid in the Primary years of schooling and so Whitehill Primary School is committed to making sure that our children do not miss out on the education and care that we offer. Regular attendance is critical if our pupils are to be happy, successful and benefit from the opportunities presented to them now and in the future.
Good attendance is fundamental to a successful and fulfilling school experience. We actively promote 100% attendance for all our pupils and we use a variety of rewards and incentives to promote good attendance and punctuality. Awards are group focused rather than given to individuals as we recognise that our students cannot help being absent for medical reasons.
This week, the class with the best attendance is Mulberry Class. Well done Mulberry Class! Keep up the good work!
